No plan? No PR!

We work in a lot of fields, one being the Small and Medium Sized Business (SME) sector. Our experience shows that frequently SME’s don’t actually have a plan for what they’re doing. Yes, there may have been a business plan at some early stage of the business, but this often becomes a dusty tome, never renewed and refreshed, and as for a plan from, say, today, covering the next 12 or 24 months or longer, forget about it.

This makes life rather harder for successful public relations. For one thing, PR itself needs to be planned. Creating a plan when the business itself has no clarity on upcoming milestones and its direction of travel is a recipe for things going ‘tits up’ sooner rather than later, hence the choice of the image heading this post, spotted at Top Drawer 2025, by Poet and Painter.
