Recently, we started working with Amity, a remarkable singer-songwriter.

Our use of the word remarkable came from first seeing Amity perform both solo and with his band Otto and the Cloud at a night for neurodiverse charity CASPA in New Cross, London. “I was drawn towards the stage when Amity performed”, said our Founder, Darren Weale, afterwards. I only later learned that Amity identifies as transgender and is autistic, I connected on the simple level that here was good music, a voice with soul, and lyrics with meaning to a noteworthy degree.”

Within weeks, 16-year old Amity’s won the Future Makers competition at the Royal Albert Hall. Cue question, should the press release that followed be topped by an image from the Hall taken by photographer Andy Paradise (above, top), in which Amity is named but doesn’t stand out?

At this point, for someone so young, and so new to performing live music in public, Amity has compiled a remarkable (that word again) compelling and lengthy musical and non-musical CV. So much so, that we’re still compiling the highlights to add to this post.
