When we launched the Bromley Buzz podcast with the Pilot episode on 4th August 2021, we said “this is a voice for Bromley and many people who read this will be heard, or heard about, in the show.”

Almost three months and 12 full weekly and 2 ‘special’ shows later, this is precisely what we are doing. The latest episode features an interview with Cllr Tony Owen, Deputy Mayor of Bromley, and follows numerous interviews with many on the Bromley Arts and charity scene, plus businesses and Cllr Hannah Grey, Bromley’s Small Business Champion, 7-year old girl footballer Jess, and even Bromley Rotary Club’s Human Fruit Machine in action. Upcoming interviews include local Members of Parliament Gareth Bacon and Sir Bob Neill, and Ade Adetosoye, Chief Executive of Bromley Council, and many more eye-catching and exciting recordings.

Co-presenters Darren Weale and Zeenat Noorani have talked, sung, mentioned, affirmed, rapped, danced and toured our way across much of Bromley, including (a favourite) into the dressing room of Bromley Little Theatre. Bromley is a big, unique place with so much to be proud of, and we plan to keep sharing that.

On 1st October at Biggin Hill Airport, Zeenat, Darren and fellow Bromley Buzz founder Sarah Marsh-Collings gave a presentation to a group of ‘Bromley Champions’ including the Mayor and Mayoress of Bromley, Councillors, business people, and others including Christine Atkinson from the local Rotary District, Chandra Sharma from the Federation of Small Business, and Lauretta Wright of Life In Orpington magazine. We spelt out how the Bromley Buzz could bring people and initiatives together in Bromley and support civic pride and the reputation of the borough.

Those present agreed that the Bromley Buzz is a very welcome arrival in Bromley’s communications landscape. We were especially pleased to hear the supportive words of Mayor of Bromley, Cllr Russell Mellor, echoed by his subsequent posts on social media (above).
